By default if services run automatically it means that windows find it necessary .But suppose if you don’t want this service to proceed than you can disable it and pass it to Manual. It doesn’t mean that it is deleted permanently but it will not run unless and until needed and windows will start it.
Still, if some questions arises in your mind about importance of services you can check out from the guide to the importance of services by right clicking that service. It will open its properties window and will be answerable to your queries.
Suppose if you want to change the service settings go for the service type and change it to manual. Service status can be changed and also you can stop it by selecting Stop if you think it is not needed. I think it is quiet understandable now regarding service type.
