Build Your Own Computer - STEP 2
Computer cabinets are available in many designs. To find a right computer case can be difficult. The below cabinets displayed in the picture have very appealing looks and are also built tough.
Whether you are buying with style, or looking for flexibility or even trying yourself to find and match your budget, exactly what do you require from computer case?
There is only one thing that comes with a computer cabinet and that is the power supply. You can have a decent 400watts SMPS. It is enough to supply you power for most of your hardware accessories installed.
But in any case, look for 2 things in particular when you look for a case. They are : Flexibility & Room.

Should you ever decide to upgrade or change your parts inside, you must have enough space inside the cabinet. The cabinet photographed about can hold 4 or even 5 hard disks, 2 floppy drives and 4 cd and dvd rom drives. (the 2 on the left). Even though some cabinets do not have enough power to supply to all of the 4 cd/dvd drives and 4 harddisk drives. (Do you really need that many?)
Below is a photo of an 8mm fan which comes along with the case.

2 cpu fans are normally required but you can get more fan installed for a fraction of the cose. There are built-in slots for more fans if you need.
Cpu fans are available in different colors, shapes and sizes. There are some fans which have LED light on them. Don't install these fans. They will generate some extra heat & use extra power from your SMPS. Also don't overcrowd your case with fans and fill up all available fan slots in the case. On an average approx, you will require about two fans.

But remember, the more fans you install there is more noise inside the cabinet. If you require a quiet environment and computer, use 2-3 fans to keep your pc at a cool temperature.
One frequent computer problem arises later is many times during troubleshooting we have noticed that the there is lot of complaints from clients saying that there pc restarts frequently. Sometimes even when you are working the system restarts and your work is lost. This is all due to your computer getting very hot inside, and it is not stable. If your computer restarts frequently, then you may need to install more fans because your case (and the cpu) is getting hot inside. These fans blow out the hot air with force.
You can know by simply looking at the fan and know the type of fan. If the fan rotates counter-clockwise the hot air is blown out and if the fan rotates clockwise the air is blown in.
Well, this is it. A short introduction to building and making your own Computer.
