Would you like to build / make or assemble your own computer yourself? If you are interested, and would really like to learn and know how to do it, I will just show you how simple it is after all.

A personal computer is made up of 10-15 different parts depending upon the configuration you need. All these parts are easily available seperately from any computer hardware vendor near you. I have listed all the most important parts below.

Further I have divided the course in 13 very easy steps so you will be able to follow very easily. The course is even guided by photographs in each step.

Start with Step 1 and follow through the steps. Before you do that see that you have purchased or already own all the necessary computer parts listed below here as a ready reckoner. 1. Computer Case with installed Power supply, SMPS or Switch Mode Power Supply (sometimes referred to as Computer Cabinet)
2. Motherboard (including motherboard drivers CD)
3. CPU
4. RAM 256 or 512mb or even higher
5. Harddisk 40gb / 80gb or even higher
6. DVD-Combo (Cd-Writer+DVD Player) or DVD-Writer
7. Keyboard
8. Optical Mouse
9. Monitor (15” LCD or 15” CRT Monitor)
10. MultiMedia Speakers

Once you are ready with the above parts and tools (a screwdriver) you are ready to go to step 1.
