Hidden Trick In Notepad to Automatically Log in Time

One of my colleagues at work told me about this hidden trick in Notepad that I never knew could have existed in notepad. I gave it a try and I am loving it! The trick is fairly simple.

what this trick will do is it will automatically log in time whenever you open the saved txt file. Let us see below how easy it is to do it.

 Open notepad and type “.LOG” [without quotes] and save it.

From next time onwards, whenever you open the saved notepad txt file [with .LOG in it], the current time stamp is automatically appended in the file. You may write your notes below that and save it again.

Voila! Your notepad now has the ability to take down timely notes! You can now remember when this file was written and saved. Enjoy!
