How to Speed up your PC in 4 Very Easy WaysComputers are meant to speed up our work, not work sluggish Why do we buy computers? Simple! To improve our productivity and it should help us do more fast. But when it computer runs slow and behaves erratic, it keeps us from getting our important work done. Before you figure out how to kick the pc, try doing these easy suggestions. It should help your computer system perform well. Many of my clients when they buy new pcs they are happy with their performance. But a little later, maybe a couple of months and they cry that their system is now not working properly, is slow or there is some problem with their hardware.
There are a lot of reasons why computers become sluggish or slow. To understand this phenomenon better, I will give you a simple example here. Lets say you buy a new wardrobe and fill it with new clothes. There are clothes and things in this proper place. Party clothes, Office and Formal wear. You find your things easily as they are arranged in an organized manner. Sometimes after, you pick up clothes and things and you just happen to put one thing here and there. Slowly over a period of time, your things are not kept where it should have been and you take longer to find things from your cupboard. You sometimes get frustrated over finding a thing. If you do these 4 things, you can increase the speed and performance of your computer 1) You have to Free Some HardDisk Space Please do not install softwares or files if you do not use it. It unneccesarily clogs the registry and system areas making it work slow. If you do not need a program please uninstall it using the uninstall feature from the control panel. Windows XP has also a small utility named "Disk Cleanup" that does simply that. It cleans your hard disk! It scans your disk and give you a list of files and folders which you can safely erase. You will be amazed to find a lot of garbage here. Temporary files, Internet downloads, files from the recycle bin and even some programs you may have downloaded. 2) SpeedUp your system with the Disk Defragmenter tool As I said earlier, the frequent use of your hard disk results in it getting fragmented. You now have to run this utility tool so that all files are in one place, which will be easier and faster for windows OS to retrieve when called for. Also it will make your hard disk life longer, because it will have to run occasionally. Also recommended here, is that you install sufficient ram or memory to ease the load on your hard disk. A regular run of this utility will make your system performance top notch and keep it that way. 3) Repair HardDisk Errors with "CheckDisk" Although you get a 5 year warranty for a hard drive, you have to take great care of your data. To make sure your hard drive stays healthy run this small nice utility called "CheckDisk" This utility will find hard drive errors, pc errors and fix them, including bad sectors. (I recommend changing your hard disk once you get a bad sector error) This will further peak your system performance. 4) Check for any Spyware or Malware installed on your PC Everybody hates spywares! Once your system is infected with this Spyware it may be very difficult for you to remove. You have to download AntiSpyware software on your PC and makes sure it is deleted. I recommend you invest in this utility as you never know when the next Spyware attack comes. Some Spywares take away your confidential data (like credit card, bank ac info etc) which is very risky. This Spyware makes your PC real sluggish.
